This 18k yellow gold ring is centered by a cabochon-cut natural emerald, weighing approximately 2 carats. It is flanked by two lotus-shaped shoulders, which are studded with rose-cut diamonds.
Its design reflects the interest in ancient Egyptian culture that swept through Europe from the late 18th Century onwards, and which reached its peak with the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. For many months, all details of this stunning archeological dig dominated world news, and designs inspired by Egyptian art inspired art, architecture and fashion.
