A chatelaine is a decorative clap or ring that suspend a series of chains which would be worn at the waist.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Size: 22 cm long: the jump ring on top has a diameter of 27 mm.
Weight: 88.40 grams.
Age: Late 19th / early 20th Century, circa 1900.
Material: Hallmarked ‘800’ for 800/1000 silver, and hallmarked with a crown and moon, indicating that the set was made in Germany.
Condition: In good antique condition with only minor wear, consistent with its age. There are some small dents -notably on the cap of the perfume bottle- and the tiny mechanical pencil that is attached to the note pad is currently not in working order.
